As we all are waiting for the test series between India vs England at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. BCCI gave green signals for 50 percent seating capacity in stand for 2nd test which will be played from February 13-17.
Though the opening test will be played behind closed doors, but players will have their fans cheering them, encouraging them in the second test onwards in the stadium.
Which is good news for the Cricket fans and for the players as they get the live motivation and it’s a different feeling to play in front of the audience.
TNCA secretary RS Ramasaamy conveyed that it was little difficult to do the arrangement for the first test, because of which the first test will be played behind the doors. However, they communicated on the arrangement of second test onwards. We are just waiting for the official confirmation from BCCI.
As per Ramasaamy, around 12000-15000 tickets are expected to go on sale. He also says that “We will not have any seating in the pavilion and terrace stands to ensure that nobody comes closer to the payer’s area”.
We understand that it’s a risky decision in this pandemic situation but hope things will be under control and goes well. Let’s hope for the best and wait for more updates.
