Harmanpreet Kaur Domestic Career
Harmanpreet Kaur played for the Punjab Cricket team in the domestic circuit. She had a short-lived but impactful journey for Punjab. Kaur represented the Punjab team in the U-19 championship and scored valuable runs. Her performance at the domestic stage helped her to set the stage for her international debut.
The Big Bash League
Harmanpreet Kaur became the first Indian cricketer to be signed by an overseas T-20 franchise in June 2016 alongside her teammate Smriti Mandhana. Kaur was signed by defending champions Sydney Thunders ahead of the 2016 Big Bash League.

Harmanpreet Kaur made her ODI debut for India against Pakistan at an ICC Women’s World Cup match in 2009 at the Oval. Making her debut for the Indian team, Kaur registered a clinical bowling performance by registering a figure of 1/10 in 4 overs. She also scored ten runs of seven balls coming to bat in the end.
In March 2013, Harmanpreet was named as the captain of India’s ODI team for the Bangladesh series. Harmanpreet scored a fabulous century in the series and finished with 195 runs at a massive average of 97.50 including a century and a half-century and claimed two wickets. She was later picked for the 2017 World Cup.
At the semifinal of the 2017 World Cup, Harmanpreet smashed the second-highest individual score of 171* of 115 balls by an Indian woman batter.
