Kartik Tyagi was born on 8th November 2000 at Hapur town in Uttar Pradesh. His father Yogendra Tyagi is a farmer whereas his mother Nandini Tyagi is a homemaker. Kartik has been a passionate cricketer from the very beginning of his career. He is a young and raw talent and has achieved tremendous success in a very short phase of his life.
The success of Tyagi can seriously be accredited to his father who enrolled him in a cricket academy and looked after his coaching in adverse financial circumstances. His father wanted him to pursue a career in the shooting but lacked resources. Kartik Tyagi Early Days
Kartik Tyagi began his professional cricket coaching under his first coach Deepak Chouhan who nurtured and furnished his bowling skills. He developed his pace and through expert guidance, he was able to bowl at an excellent line. Tyagi bowl at over 120 km/hr at the young age of 16 which is a truly spectacular achievement.
After toiling hard on the field, he finally got success as he was selected in the Uttar Pradesh U-14 team. He performed brilliantly at the camp and played a handful of matches for the state team. After a consistent run, he was also called for the U-16 state team where his performance was applauded and before he could get into the U-19 team, he was called in the senior team.

Karthik’s mesmerizing performance at the U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy caught the selector’s eye who called him for the Uttar Pradesh senior team to play at the domestic premier Ranji Trophy.
Kartik Tyagi made his debut for the Uttar Pradesh cricket team at the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season. He is one of the youngest debutants for Uttar Pradesh and in India where he was only 17 while playing his first match. Since then, there was no looking back for Tyagi as he was successful in picking wickets for Uttar Pradesh at a big stage and was ready for another opportunity.
After a successful debut at Ranji Trophy, Tyagi earned a call for Uttar Pradesh’s limited-overs squad. He was lucky enough to get a place in the senior team to play the 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy. A young boy of 17 years had made his first-class and List A debut in the same golden season. Tyagi claimed a couple of wickets at the Hazare Trophy.
Impressed by his performance, Tyagi was now called to play for the Uttar Pradesh U-19 Cricket team. He played for the state team at the Cooch Behar Trophy and CK Nayudu Trophy. ICC U-19 World Cup 2020
Kartik’s determination and passion had finally paid off as his fruitful efforts ended up with his selection in the Indian U-19 team for the World Cup of 2020. Though Kartik had anticipated his selection in 2018 itself, his injury had let him out for a while as he missed out on a big opportunity. However, another opportunity had kicked the door for him and he did not want to miss this one.
Kartik Tyagi made the best of the U-19 World Cup opportunity as he performed exceptionally well to also reserve his spot at the Indian Premier League. Tyagi received the guidance of India’s most entrusted coach Rahul Dravid who redefined his techniques and shaped his fitness efforts to improve his performance.
At the 2020 World Cup campaign, Kartik emerged as India’s leading paceman wicket-taker as he grabbed 11 wickets in 6 matches and impressed the selectors and the management.

Kartik Tyagi was the talk of the town before the IPL auctions 2020. A total of four IPL franchises had shown interest in picking the youngster. Tyagi made his debut against Mumbai Indians which was not so fruitful for him.
