Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja was born on 6th December 1988 at Jamnagar District in Gujarat State. Jadeja’s father Anirudh was security personnel for a private agency that desperately wanted him to become an Army Office and this frightened Jadeja from his father. His mother died in a car accident in 2005 following which he quit Cricket.
Defeating all the odds, Jadeja started a new lesson of his life and resumed his cricketing career in 2006. He discovered his potential to bowl the Slow Left-Arm Orthodox bowling through which he is conquering the most difficult victories for India.

Ravindra Jadeja Early Days
Ravindra Jadeja played for the local cricket club and his impressive performance led to his inclusion in Saurashtra’s U-16 Team for the Vijay Merchant Trophy. His squeezing tally at the League made him the youngest Indian cricketer to represent the national U-19 team at a very young age of 16 Years. Jadeja made his debut against Sri Lanka.
Jadeja continued to pave the way for his golden career as he was picked for the U-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. India finished as the Runners-Up and Jadeja performed marvelously in the Final against Pakistan as he picked up three wickets. Jadeja was named the Vice-Captain of the victorious Indian U-19 World Cup team that traveled to Malaysia under captain Virat Kohli.

Ravindra Jadeja made his first-class debut for Saurashtra at the Duleep Trophy in 2006-07. He scored a major run for the team which went on to the semifinals. Jadeja continued to impress with his magnificent all-around performance as he helped Saurashtra to excel in domestic cricket. Jadeja drafted numerous records in first-class Cricket.
In one of the most unimaginable and unbreakable cricket records, Jadeja has scored three triple-centuries in first-class cricket and he became the first Indian to register the fabulous record. Ravindra Jadeja had an outstanding Ranji Trophy season in 2008-09 where he scored 739 runs and picked up 42 wickets. His impressive performance led to his inclusion in the Indian team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He scored a brilliant 60* runs score in a losing cause at his debut at the final match of the series.
Jadeja subsequently made his T-20 debut against Sri Lanka on the same tour. He was later included in India’s T-20 squad for the ICC T-20 World Cup in 2009. Jadeja was criticized for his slow run-scoring against England which eventually put India out of the race to win. Yusuf Pathan’s injury in 2009 helped Jadeja to seal the no. 7 spot in the team.
Jadeja was then picked up consistently for the ODI team but was neglected in the 2011 World Cup squad due to the presence of similar cricketer Yuvraj Singh in the squad. He made his comeback in the ODI Squad against England at The Oval in 2012. Jadeja impressed the support staff with his quickfire knock of 60 runs and claiming three wickets.
Jadeja was inducted in the Indian side for the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and his magnificent performance helped India to lift the title and the left arm bowler received the Golden Ball for claiming three wickets. Jadeja scored a couple of 300+ scores at the Ranji Trophy 2012-13 which earned him a Test Call for the fourth Test against England at Nagpur. Jadeja registered a figure of 3/117 in his debut match. In the historic 4-0 test series win over Australia in 2013, Jadeja picked up 23 wickets, dismissing the Aussie Skipper Michael Clarke for 5 out of 6 times.
Jadeja’s strong performance at the Ranji Trophy 2016 made his comeback call against South Africa possible. He picked up 24 wickets in the series after which he became a regular test bowler. Jadeja was a part of the Indian contingent in the National Teams’ historic overseas win against Australia and England in 2021.

Following Kochi’s termination in 2012, Jadeja was picked by Chennai Super Kings 2012.
