There was an announcement that Australia might cancel and postpone the South Africa tour due to the pandemic situation and it been officially confirmed now.
This decision was made with a heavy heart, because Australia also knows the importance of continuing international cricket at this time and this is such a disappointment for them too.
But keeping the health and safety of the team and support staff they had to take this decision, which is somewhere hurt South Africa. Because couple of days ago, interim board chairman Zak Yacoob said he was confident the tour would go ahead. And now they ended up with giving up on the tour.
South Africa’s director of cricket Graeme Smith mentioned that they are extremely disappointed by Australia because they have tried their best to please Australia where in they ended up with a negative response.

Though in South Africa’s cases are dropped down but it’s no safer to take a risk on life. We understand the frustration level of Smith as of now and how he might be feeling, but its CA’s duty to take a safe call. They have done tried every possible way to get succeeded but even they had to drop out this plan after the immense amount work.
Let’s hope South Africa will come up with their own way in this challenging period!
