Greenidge managed to complete the 10th fastest 5000 runs in ODI against Pakistan at Multan on 13th November 1990. Greenidge took 121 innings to complete a commendable achievement in his career. Greenidge had made his debut in 1975 and it took him 15 years and 155 days along with 121 innings to reach the milestone.
