  1. Carlton Chapman

Carlton Chapman is the most successful graduate of the Tata football academy. Chapman graduated from the academy in 1992 and signed with the East Bengal Football club and had a memorable two-year contract. Carlton is renowned for his hattrick against Iraqi club Al Zawra at the Asia Cup 1993 where East Bengal won by 6-2.

After a successful time with East Bengal, Chapman joined JCT Mills in 1995. At the JCT Mills football club, Carlton played alongside Indian legends Bhaichung Bhutia and I Vijayan. After a convincing domestic tour, he once again returned to East Bengal in 1998. Since then, he represented the club for three consecutive years at the National Football League.

Carlton retired in 2001 and pursued a management career. In a sudden tragedy, he passed away in October 2020 due to a heart attack.

Renedy Singh has a highly competitive career where he played professionally for 19 years and was capped in 72 international matches. He is highly recognized for his Nehru Cup triumph in 2008.

Mahesh Gawli is another significant graduate of the Tata football academy. Gawli graduated from the academy in 1998 and has a magnificent career for football clubs in the western region of India. Gawli’s most successful stint was for the Dempo Football club where he played for a consecutive period of eight years from 2007-2015.

His stint for India included two Nehru Cups, two SAFF cups, and alone AFC Champions Cup in his golden period from 2007-2012.

Gawli represented the national team for 17 long years and played 96 games in the blue jersey.

While playing for the Goan FC, Miranda helped the team bag three I-League titles. He finally left the Goan FC and signed a deal with Atletico de Kolkata for the ISL 2015. He also represented the Minerva Punjab and Churchill Football clubs.

Miranda is a highly skilled midfielder and has played 45 international matches and helped India to win an AFC Challenge Cup.

The most successful goalkeeper graduate of the Tata football academy, Subrata Paul inculcated excellent saving techniques through expert training. He graduated from the academy in 2004 and soon joined the most prestigious Mohun Bagan Football club. Paul left Mohun Bagan to play for rivals East Bengal side after two successive seasons.
