UEFA Euro 2020: Quarterfinals to kickstart from Tonight 


The much-awaited knockout stage of the UEFA Euro Cup will kickstart from tonight. Eight successful teams from the Round of 16 have qualified for the Quarterfinals that will be held across four different venues. The winners from the quarterfinals will advance into the semifinals and soon we are going to see a new winner of the Euro Cup.

Notably, defending champions Portugal and former World Champions France are out of the tournament. Germany and Croatia too failed it to make it in the quarters. This clearly has given a new twist in the Euro 2020 as fans are going to anticipate a new winner. It will be interesting to see who makes it in the top two out of the eight teams left.

Denmark, Italy, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, Ukraine, Switzerland and Spain have qualified for the Quarterfinals. Here is the schedule of the much anticipated Quarterfinal stage:

Quarterfinal 1: Switzerland vs Spain, Saint Petersburg 

                            Tonight- 9:30 pm

Quarterfinal 2: Belgium vs Italy, Munich

                            Tonight- 12:30 am

Quarterfinal 3: Czech Republic vs Denmark, Azerbaijan 

                            Tomorrow- 9:30 pm

Quarterfinal 4: Ukraine vs England, Rome

                            Tomorrow- 12:30 am

The Eight teams will lock horns against each other to get through into the semifinals. The winner of the 1st and 3rd Quarterfinal will meet in the 1st Semifinal whereas the winner of the 2nd and 4th Quarterfinals will meet in the 2nd Semifinal. Here is how the Semifinals lineup will look like:

Semi-Final 1: Winner of SWZ-ESP vs Winner of CZE-DEN

Wembley Stadium, 7th July- 12:30 am

Semi-Final 2: Winner of BEL-ITA vs Winner of UKR-ENG

Wembley Stadium, 8th July- 12:30 am

The Semifinal stage of the tournament will be thrilling and entertaining. It is predicted that England, Spain, Czech Republic and Belgium are going to make it into the semis. However, Euro 2020 has truly been unpredictable and even the underdogs have made it into the quarters.
