Roger Federer on Monday became the oldest player at Wimbledon to qualify for the Quarterfinal. Federer had a brilliant campaign at Wimbledon in, 2021 and he successfully defeated top seeds in the earlier rounds. On the other side, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic entered the quarterfinals easily.

Federer took on 23rd seed Lorenzo Sonego in The Round of 16 matches. The match was suspended after a 5-5 tie in the first set. Federer then bounced back in the match by winning the first set to 7-5. There was no looking back for Federer after the rain delay as he eventually won the second and third set by comfortable margins of 6-4 and 6-2.
Top Seed Novak Djokovic faced 17th seed Cristian Garin in his Round of 16 matches. Djokovic successfully defeated Garin by a straight 3-0 sets win to storm into the quarterfinals. Djokovic set up an easy victory and proved his dominance over the Chilean top seed in the first set by winning it 6-2. He eventually won the second and third set by 6-4 and 6-2 to win the match.

The other top seeds who qualified for the Quarterfinals are Italian 7th seed Matteo Berrettini, Canadian 10th seed Denis Shapalov, and 2nd Seed Daniil Medvedev. Top Seeds Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev had a disappointing exit in the Round of 16. The others to qualify were Khachanov, Fucsovics, and Aliassime.
