WTC: 10 Batsmen who have scored the most runs in World Test Championship. The first edition of the World Test Championship (WTC), organized by ICC, will conclude in June 2021.  India and England will clash at The Ageas Bowl Stadium in Southampton, England, from June 18 to June 22. This championship started in 2019. Under this, all the teams had to play 6 test series.  During this, each team had to play three series at home and three away from home. However, due to the Corona epidemic, many groups were postponed or canceled during the World Test Championship.

India and New Zealand are ready for one last encounter in the final of the World Test Championship, and both teams would like to win this match and win the trophy. Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne looked in great form during the first edition of the World Test Championship. He is the leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 1675 runs in 23 innings at an impressive average of 72.82.

He also scored the most five centuries and the most nine fifties in the World Test Championship.  In this way, Labuschagne is the highest run-scorer in the World Test Championship.

2. Joe Root, the second English player on this list

England captain Joe Root is at number two of most run-scorers in the World Test Championship. Root showed his batting prowess in this Test Championship.

Although his team failed to reach the finals, Root’s performance as a batsman was of a high standard. In this World Test Championship, Joe Root has marked 1660 runs in 20 matches at an average of 47.42.  During this, he scored three centuries and eight half-centuries.

 All-rounder Ben Stokes did exceptionally well with the bat in the World Test Championship and scored tons of runs for his team.  Stokes showed a different rhythm while batting, and he continued to score runs with the bat.

The left-handed batsman has scored 1334 runs in 32 innings of 17 matches in the World Test Championship at an average of 46.00.  During this, Stokes has scored four centuries and seven half-centuries.  In the Ashes during this championship, he also included his outstanding innings of 135* against Australia at Headingley in 2019.  Stokes is fourth in the list of highest run-scorers in the World Test Championship.

5. Ajinkya Rahane has scored the most runs for India in World Test Championship.

Ajinkya Rahane, the vice-captain of the Indian Test team, did a great job as captain in the absence of Virat. 7. FDM Karunaratne is also included in the list of highest run-scorers in WTC with 999 runs (Sri Lanka).

Sri Lankan Batsman FDM Karunaratne achieved 999 runs in the WTC 2019-21 with an average of 55.50 in 18 innings. 

8: Jos Butler has scored 963 runs for England in the World Test Championship.

Jos Butler is a prominent English batsman. Butler achieved 963 runs with an average of 33.20 in 31 innings.

9. David Warner has scored 948 runs for Australia in the World Test Championship.

The all-time highest Australian batsman David Warner scored 948 runs in the WTC with an average of 47.40 in 22 innings. Warner took advantage of 22 innings during the first version of the tournament.

10: Babar Azam has scored 932 runs for Pakistan in the World Test Championship.

Famous Pakistani batsman Babar Azam achieved 932 runs in the WTC, taking advantage of 17 innings with an average of 66.57.

The World Test Championship 2019-21 ended with the Indian team’s defeat at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.  New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets in the WTC final played for the first time. On the last day of the match, the Kiwi team achieved the target of 139 runs for the loss of two wickets.
